Lee County lists mattresses among bulky items that residential customers can place at the curb next to regular garbage. The county option still requires someone to move the mattress from the room to the curb. Check HOA, condominium, elevator, and set-out rules before leaving a bulky item outside.
Donation limits are strict
Goodwill Southwest Florida lists mattresses and box springs among items it does not accept. Another organization may have a different policy, but do not transport the mattress until it confirms the item, condition, and pickup or drop-off requirements.

When full-service inside removal earns its cost
